RDA Specifications

Users can create a new Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA) code for nutrients by performing the following functions under RDA Specifications:

Users can create a new dietary preference by performing the following steps:

Click Setup ➜ Global ➜ Nutrients ➜ RDA Specifications. The RDA Specifications page appears.

Click Create New. The New RDA Specifications page appears.

Refer to the following table and fill in the fields:

Field	Description
Meal	Select the preferred meal from the following: Breakfast Lunch
RDA age group (FROM)	Select the RDA age group (From) from the drop-down list.
RDA age group (TO)	Select the RDA age group (To) from the drop-down list.
Min. Calories (kCal)	Enter minimum calories.
Max. Calories (kCal)	Enter maximum calories.
Max Saturated Fat (in % of Tot. Calories)	Enter maximum saturated fat in percentage.
Max Trans Fat (g)	This is a read-only field. It is a user defined field.
Sodium - Target Level	This is a read-only field. It is a user defined field.
Max. Sodium (mg)	Enter the maximum sodium in mg.
Source	This is a read-only field. It is a user defined field.
Status	By default, the status flag is enabled as Yes.

Click Create.

Users can modify existing RDA specifications by performing the following steps:

Click Edit under Actions corresponding to the preferred dietary preference. The Edit RDA Specification page appears.

Modify the preferred details.

Click Update.

Users can deactivate RDA specifications by performing the following steps:

Click Deactivate under the Actions column corresponding to the preferred RDA specification.

Click Deactivate. The system prompts the user to confirm the deactivation.

Click Confirm.

Users can activate a deactivated RDA specification by performing the following steps:

Toggle off the Show Active Only flag to see the deactivated RDA specifications.

Select a deactivated RDA specification.

Click Activate under Actions corresponding to the preferred dietary preference.

Click Confirm.
