Material Requirement Planning (MRP)

Manufacturing, central purchasing, and commissary environments use Material Requirement Planning to combine inventory or product requirements into one plan. The requirements come from the following:

  • Sales

  • Production

  • Cycle plans

  • Catering orders

  • Historical inventory activity

Click Inventory Management à MRP. The Material Requirement Planning page appears.

A list of material requirement plans is displayed with the following details:

Field

Description

MRP Title

The name of the material requirement plan.

Description

The description of the material requirement plan.

Entered By

The username of the person who made the material requirement plan entry.

Entered On

The date the material requirement plan was entered.

Actions

Allows users to perform the following actions:

  • Edit

  • Deactivate

Users can perform the following tasks under Material Requirement Planning:

  • Create material requirement plans

  • View material requirement plans

  • Modify material requirement plans

  • View analysis

  • Create shopping list

  • Access saved shopping list

  • Activate material requirement plans

  • Deactivate material requirement plans
