Descriptors
Users can perform the following under Descriptors:

Create descriptors

Modify descriptors

Deactivate descriptors

Activate descriptors
Click Setup ➜ Inventory ➜ Descriptors.
Creating Descriptors
Users can create a new descriptor by performing the following steps:
Click the Create New button. The New Descriptors page appears.
Refer to the following table and fill in the fields:

Identifier |
Enter a name for the descriptor. For example, White or Black is a color descriptor. |
Code |
Enter a unique code or abbreviation for the descriptor. For example, WHT for White. |
Descriptor Group ID |
Choose the descriptor group ID from the drop-down list. |
Is Active |
Flag that indicates whether the descriptor is active or inactive. By default, this flag appears toggled on (active) when creating a descriptor and cannot be toggled off. This flag can be toggled off to deactivate the descriptor when opened for modification. Once toggled off, the deactivated descriptor will be displayed on the Descriptors page only if the Show Active Only flag is toggled off. |
Click Create.
Modifying Descriptors
Users can modify existing descriptors by performing the following steps:
Click the ellipsis under Actions corresponding to the preferred descriptor.
Click Edit. The Edit Descriptors page appears.
Modify the required details.
Click Update.
Deactivating Descriptors
Users can deactivate existing descriptors by performing the following steps:
Click the ellipsis under Actions corresponding to the preferred descriptor .
Click Deactivate. The system prompts the user to confirm the deactivation.
Click Confirm.
Activating Descriptors
Users can activate a deactivated descriptor by performing the following steps:
Toggle off the Show Active Only flag to view the deactivated descriptor. The deactivated descriptors appear.
Select a deactivated descriptor.
Click the ellipsis under Actions corresponding to the preferred descriptor .
Click Activate. The system prompts the user to confirm the activation.
Click Confirm.
